At Mamukko, we don’t mass-produce. Some designs are only available on backorder — which means your bag will be crafted in our Kinsale workshop after you order it. Lead time is 4 weeks.

This is part of our model: limited, slow-made editions that respect both material and craft. Waiting is part of the story — and when your piece arrives, it will carry not just heritage and circular design, but the patience of being made just for you.

The Designer Deluxe backpack is a case study in high-value material circularity. Handcrafted in our Kinsale workshop, it brings together materials engineered for performance and longevity — the IMOCA60 Hugo Boss sail, a decommissioned liferaft, and aircraft-grade seat leather, with premium leather detailing.

Instead of being discarded or downcycled, these materials are preserved for what they are: durable, flame-resistant, and built to last. By reconfiguring them into a limited-edition design piece, we extend their life in a meaningful, low-impact way — proving that circularity can preserve both material integrity and provenance.

Only 5 pieces were made in this batch, each one stitched on our heritage Adler machines by Nora and Attila Magyar, 5th-generation leatherworkers.

The Designer Deluxe is more than a backpack. It’s an embodiment of Mamukko’s ethos: preserving disappearing skills and high-value materials, and showing how modular recovery strategies can inspire other industries — from aviation to automotive, hospitality to healthcare.
